How the heck is this even possible?! He’s ten, a whole decade old! And now I start to think, it will only be another 8-9 years left with him until he leaves home when he goes to college. I can’t even handle that thought of him leaving home. Gosh it seems like not too long ago I was carrying him around on my hips he was stuck to me like glue and now I just found out he likes girls, well A girl, a secret crush at school, Nooo! He’s really shy though so I have no worries about him and girls until hopefully high school. It’s a true saying about the days being long but the years are short. It all goes by so fast.
My wish for him is to always strive to be a kind and honest person and to succeed in life no matter what he chooses to do. I want him to be happy and continue to exude that confidence that I see from him everyday.
**PSA* Just so I don’t look like a completely bad mom .We did a quick shoot without his helmet on. I’m usually strict with him about wearing his helmet whenever he’s on his skateboard, bike or scooter. We didn’t do a very good job setting a good example here, did we? Helmets are important!
